The Formula

Your overall score is a weighted sum of 11 category scores

OverallScore = Σ ( CategoryScore × CategoryWeight )

Each category is scored 0–100 independently. Categories that matter more to search engines carry more weight.

Severity

Not all issues carry the same weight

A critical issue deducts 4× more than a low one. Severity multiplies every penalty — so a single site-wide critical finding can strip dozens of points from an otherwise healthy score.

Page Coverage

An issue on 1 of 50 pages deducts 1/50th of the rule's weight. The same issue on all 50 pages deducts the full amount. Site-wide problems hurt far more than isolated ones.

Severity Multiplier

A critical issue deducts 4× more than a low-severity one. Critical findings actively prevent indexing. Low-severity findings are best-practice improvements.

Example

See the score calculated step by step

Category:
Weight: 18%

This category has 10 rules.

robots.txt missing Critical 1.00
Redirect chains detected Medium 0.50
Pages buried 4+ clicks deep Medium 0.10

Total deduction: 1.00 + 0.50 + 0.10 = 1.60

Category score = ( 10 1.60 ) / 10 × 100 = 84.0

Contribution to overall = 84.0 × 0.18 = 15.1 pts
