1. Overview
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the MAYORDOMOlocal platform ("Service"), operated by MAYORDOMOlocal Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales.
By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service immediately.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you are using the Service on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
3. Description of Services
MAYORDOMOlocal provides local SEO audit and listing management tools, including:
- NAP (Name, Address, Phone) consistency scanning across directories
- Automated listing synchronisation across supported platforms
- Managed website services for local businesses
- Recommendations and insights relating to your online presence
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.
4. Advice Disclaimer
MAYORDOMOlocal provides informational recommendations only. The Service is not a substitute for professional legal, financial, marketing, or business advice.
Any suggestions, scores, audit results, or recommendations generated by the Service are provided on an "as is" basis and are intended as general guidance. They do not constitute professional advice and should not be relied upon as such.
You are solely responsible for any decisions or actions you take based on the information provided by the Service. This includes, without limitation, any changes you make to your business listings, website content, or online presence based on our recommendations.
We do not guarantee that following our recommendations will result in any particular outcome, including improved search rankings, increased traffic, or additional revenue. Results vary depending on factors outside our control, including search engine algorithms, competitor activity, and your industry.
Where the Service interacts with third-party platforms (Google, Bing, Yelp, Facebook, Apple), we are not responsible for changes those platforms make to their policies, APIs, or listing requirements. Any modifications made to your listings through the Service are performed at your direction and at your own risk.
5. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are being used in violation of these Terms.
6. Subscriptions & Billing
Paid features are available via monthly subscription plans. Pricing is displayed on our pricing page and is subject to change with 30 days' notice.
Subscriptions renew automatically each billing cycle unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time through your account settings — no cancellation fees apply.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.
All prices are stated in GBP and are exclusive of VAT where applicable. We may adjust pricing with at least 30 days' written notice before your next billing cycle.
7. Your Data
You retain full ownership of any business data, listing information, or content you submit to the Service ("Your Data"). We do not claim any intellectual property rights over Your Data.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to use, process, and transmit Your Data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you, including syncing your listings to third-party platforms at your direction.
If you cancel your subscription, your listings remain as-is on third-party platforms. We do not revert or remove listing data that has already been published. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us.
Our handling of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, algorithms, branding, and documentation, is owned by MAYORDOMOlocal Ltd and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your internal business purposes in accordance with these Terms.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- ✗ Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
- ✗ Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent business information
- ✗ Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure
- ✗ Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service
- ✗ Interfere with the security or proper functioning of the Service
- ✗ Resell, sublicence, or provide the Service to third parties without our consent
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these restrictions.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MAYORDOMOlocal Ltd, its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, revenue, data, business opportunities, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the total fees you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Without limiting the above, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from:
- Actions you take based on recommendations, scores, or audit results provided by the Service
- Changes to third-party platform policies, APIs, or algorithms
- Inaccurate or incomplete data you submit to the Service
- Temporary unavailability of the Service due to maintenance or circumstances beyond our control
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MAYORDOMOlocal Ltd and its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you breach these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the breach.
Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Advice Disclaimer, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law) will continue to apply.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice within the Service at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
